Gregor's description of those cosy vynil seats on Flo:
"The Tremolino seats came with the boat. Originally the boat was owned by someone in NJ, I bought the boat in Norwalk, CT....it came with the canvas (actually heavy vinyl material) seats...they were this horrid red, so I painted them with a white vinyl paint. Actually the entire boat was red.
These seats you probably cannot buy, but they are very easy to make..and
should not cost more than 150$. Basically they are a longish rectangle (the
long part in the fore and aft direction) , and they have a little "flap" -
splash guard towards the front, which upper side is attached to a pvc tube,
which in turned is lashed to the main crossbeam. Make a paper template and
experiment, you'll figure it out. And yes..they are very light and
confortable...except in heavier going you get slapped in the arse by them
waves!"
